Sometimes your body just needs attention.
What if your body organized itself differently?
Touch = direct experience. It’s sensory data.
If you’re in Washington, DC, Soma Lingua offers massage therapy: manual work informed by presence, precision, and a systems thinking lens. Rather than working only where you feel pain or tension, we stay curious about how different areas of your body may be contributing to what you’re experiencing.
At Soma Lingua, massage is a conversation. Each session is co-created through your preferences and how your body responds to touch in real time. It’s an intuitive approach that allows sensory information to inform the work as we go.
Sessions
A regular massage rhythm, whether weekly, monthly, or in your own timing, can increase your awareness of how your body feels, moves, and responds. Your fascia, the connective tissue network that helps organize and transmit force throughout your body, is already responding and adapting to how you use your body in real time and through repeated patterns of activity. Specific, directed touch offers different sensory information, inviting your body to experience more options for how it moves and rests by interrupting familiar patterns that may use more effort than necessary. This can free up energy to go somewhere else.

BRB: Bodywork, Reiki & Breathwork
This immersive session blends manual therapy, Reiki, and two-stage breathwork.
Each session is unique and highly participatory. The session begins with massage, moves into Reiki that is collaborative and contemplative, and ends with breathwork designed to change your physiological state through active breathing. The session is co-created in real time. Sometimes massage and Reiki are all we get to or are the only parts that feel relevant in the moment. You get to decide.
Clients report feeling lighter, clearer, and even more energized. This is deep, embodied work for those interested in connecting with themselves in a more active way.
Soma Lingua meets you with presence and precision, tailoring each session to your preferences and your desired outcome. Upon request, elements of Somatic Experiencing®, Holy Fire® Reiki, or Breathwork may be integrated into any session.
All sessions are led by Lindsay Little, founder of Soma Lingua. She is licensed by the DC Board of Massage Therapy (License #MT200001258), is a member of Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals, and actively deepens her skills through continued learning and specialized trainings.
